{"id":24,"date":"2020-07-09T08:47:54","date_gmt":"2020-07-09T08:47:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/btshub.lu\/?page_id=24"},"modified":"2026-01-21T14:14:40","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T13:14:40","slug":"la-formation-bts","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/btshub.lu\/?page_id=24","title":{"rendered":"The BTS program"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The BTS (Brevet de Technicien Sup\u00e9rieur) is a state-recognized two-year diploma, supervised by the Ministry of Research and Higher Education (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcesr.public.lu\/\">Minist\u00e8re de la Recherche et de l\u2019Enseignement sup\u00e9rieur<\/a>), and defined by the Law of July 21, 2023 (<a href=\"https:\/\/legilux.public.lu\/eli\/etat\/leg\/loi\/2023\/07\/21\/a470\/jo\">loi du 21 juillet 2023<\/a>), on the organization of higher education.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">LAM&#8217;s BTS courses align with the Bologna Process to meet the training objectives of the Brevet de Technicien Sup\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Studies for the Brevet de Technicien Sup\u00e9rieur (BTS) are organized over a maximum period of two years (4 semesters) and require the completion of a full program of 120 <a href=\"https:\/\/btshub.lu\/?page_id=82\">ECTS<\/a> (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The ECTS is based on the principle that the workload of a full-time student during an academic year corresponds to 60 credits. One credit represents between 25 and 30 hours of work. The student&#8217;s workload includes the time required to participate in all educational activities, such as:<\/p>\r\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\r\n<li>attending courses,<\/li>\r\n<li>taking part in seminars,<\/li>\r\n<li>completing internships,<\/li>\r\n<li>studying independently outside class hours,<\/li>\r\n<li>preparing projects,<\/li>\r\n<li>preparing for and sitting examinations,<\/li>\r\n<li>etc.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">ECTS credits are awarded only after the full completion of the required work and following the appropriate assessment of the learning outcomes.
