Admission exam

Admission exam

The number of available places for each BTS program is limited. If the number of applications exceeds the number of available places, one of the following selection methods will be applied:

  • an entrance examination,
  • a ranking of candidates based on a personal application file submitted by the candidate,
  • a combination of both (entrance examination and personal application file).

The subjects covered in the admission exam, as well as the points assigned to each subject, will be published by the school on the respective program websites one month before the examination takes place. These provisions also apply to the type and content of the file to be submitted by the candidate.

A personal interview may be required for final admission. The languages of instruction are French, German, English, and/or Luxembourgish. Depending on the program, candidates may be required to take language proficiency tests.

The admission exam takes place after the application deadline. Candidates will be invited to the examination via email.

The evaluation of the candidate’s motivation, as well as the analysis of the personal application file and the application dossier, is carried out by a admissions committee, which takes the final decisions. The results of the entrance examination will be communicated to candidates either by post, email, or via a public notice at LAM, Limpertsberg campus. For data protection reasons, the notice will display a unique code provided to candidates during the examination.

The entrance examination is conducted exclusively on-site at our school. There are no online examinations!

From mid-October, applicants on the waiting list may be admitted subject to the availability of places and provided they have completed their application.

Places that become available due to withdrawals will be allocated to applicants on the waiting list.

The school may accept new applications based on a complete application file if:

  • There are no more candidates on the waiting list, and
  • The applicant can prove that they were enrolled in a recognised higher education establishment in Luxembourg during the current academic year,
  • It is still possible to follow courses that have already started, and
  • The candidate meets the additional requirements of the training programme.
