Since 1990, the Lycée des Arts et Métiers (LAM) has played a major role in BTS training. The BTS Dessin d’Animation was introduced in 1990, followed by the BTS Réalisateur graphique (formerly known as the BTS Opérateur prépresse) in 2001.
BTS courses underwent significant development with the adoption of the new BTS law in 2009, integrating these courses into the Bologna process. BTS courses are now credited with 120 ECTS.
In 2010, two new BTS courses were accredited: the BTS Informatique and the BTS Génie Technique, marking the LAM’s emergence among the leading institutions offering BTS programs in the technology sector.
In 2014, the accreditation of the BTS Cinema and Audiovisual, as well as BTS Génie Automatique, once again expanded the family of BTS courses, confirming the LAM’s position as a major player in this field.
On 26 June 2018, the LAM obtained accreditation for the BTS Game Programming and Game Design, BTS Game Art and Game Design, and BTS Internet of Things. In 2019, the BTS Connected Buildings and Cities replaced the BTS Génie Automatique.
Since June 2024, the LAM is proud to present its 10th BTS, the BTS Applied Artificial Intelligence, which will be launched in September 2024.
